Welcome to the class website for
World History and Geography (or 'WHaG')
at Pioneer High, with Steve Hathaway.
If you have suggestions for improvements, send me an email. Use either my school email: [email protected] (Note: at the beginning of my address, an 's' replaces the 'y' at the end of my name.) The 'contact me' option below will go to that same email address.
The main purpose of this site is to post assignments--both the materials and/or a description of what to do. Additionally, extra credit options, test preparation and study skills tips, and various 'extra' items can be found here as well.

At this point, in the beginning of the year, students sometimes ask about bringing text books to class, and whether or not any particular school supplies are needed. As far as the text book, as long as you have a way to get to it after class, you're fine. You can leave it at home, or in a locker. As for school supplies, beyond the usual basics of paper and pencils/pens, and some way to keep track of hand-outs (folders or a three ring binder, etc.), and either a composition notebook or a similar size spiral notebook.

An additional way to be in touch--especially, for use in the event of school being canceled.
I'm still exploring how to use the 'remind' app. It's a back-up to sending messages via the school gmail accounts (that have your year of graduation in them). If the email to your school account doesn't work, sign up for messages via 'remind'.
