About homework--some reminders:
Late work loses 1-2 points initially; after the unit test it is ½ credit. After that 8th week of each 9-week marking period, I do not accept late work.
If you are absent, you still have to do assigned work, but the due date is later.
Late means it was not done at the time of collecting work, or when I'm at your desk to mark it.
Also, if I can’t read your writing, OR you can’t do so, no credit for that work. (Just makes sense, right?)
My grading scale is that set by the school, on PowerSchool, as far as what % earns an A or a B.
COPYING work has sometimes been a problem. To avoid such I have a clear guideline about sharing work: don’t.
All assignments are ‘solo’ unless you hear otherwise. That means you are the only person responsible for/involved in deciding what words to write on the page you turn in to me.
If you give your work to someone else, you and the other person will both get a zero for that assignment.
Similarly, PLAGIARISM WILL LEAD TO AN ‘E’ (NO CREDIT) ON THAT ASSIGNMENT. We will discuss what constitutes plagiarism when we begin our research project.
